WYND appoints Jean Lecomte as General Manager

February 26th, 2021. WYND, a member of our order management systems (OMS) shortlist, has appointed Jean Lecomte as General Manager. Lecomte, who has a Masters Degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, was previously leading digital systems at Carrefour (EPA: CA), the French and international grocery giant, and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey before running the French & European consumer credit business Younited Credit as its CEO until the current move.

WYND founder, Ismael Ould, the son of a hotelier who started his ecommerce journey developing hotel websites in mid 2000s, retains his position as CEO.

The WYND announcement states Lecomte "will further optimize Wynd's Unified Commerce offer to best meet Retailer's challenges, scale-up the company's operational model, pursue the innovation and investment in Wynd's talents and assets".

WYND offers retailers a full set of ecommerce warehousing and logistics services, plus technology platforms including its order management system, fixed and mobile point of sale (POS) terminals, mobile clienteling, product information management (PIM) and payment services. Its clients include Carrefour, Majid Al Futtaim (a large, multi-brand retail franchisee based in the Middle East), Sodexo (food services group, whose Sodexo Ventures business led a 30m Euro investment in WYND)  and Galeries Lafayette (the iconic French luxury department store).
