VTEX is now a listed company

July 21st, 2021. VTEX, the Brazil-based B2C, B2B and marketplace ecommerce platform company, became a publicly traded company today, NYSE:VTEX. It is a member of our ecommerce platform shortlist.

VTEX has experienced extremely strong sales growth in recent years, not only in its native Latin American markets, but also North America and Europe. In Feb 2021 in the US, VTEX acquired agency and platform provider Workarea & WebLinc.

In September 2020, VTEX was valued at $1.7bn, but after a 32% rise on its first day on NYSE, this had swelled to $4.7bn.

VTEX counts Carrefour Brazil, L'Oreal, McDonalds and Nestle as customers.

Co-Chief Executive Officer Mariano Gomide de Faria was quoted as saying "we are already growing in Europe and the United States. We are not expecting high growth from these regions for now, but we are investing a lot".
